Frequently asked questions.

How will I receive my order?

Premium postal tubes as standard, or hard board envelopes with stiffeners for work that needs to be sent flat or for orders of 3+ prints, and print boxes for oversized pieces. UK deliveries are by Royal Mail 48hr service.

What papers do you print on?

2D images are printed on a white matt fine art paper which has a pleasing texture and quite similar to watercolour paper, and 3D are printed on a coated photographic style Hahnemühle paper, suiting the characteristics of each print style. If you are buying a range of prints from each collection and wish the papers to be the same throughout your order just email .

Will what I see be exactly what I get?

PC screens are RGB, a transmissive light spectrum, where as printers are CMYK a reflected light spectrum - four inks comprising Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black which by a process of laying down tiny dots simulate the RGB spectrum in a reflected light world. I mitigate this problem by using additional pure ink colours to provide a wider gamut of colours. Also with any digital file there will be a degree of post production to ensure the best image possible, and many monitors are uncalibrated so there will be a slight degree of difference.

What size margins do you use on your prints?

Small prints ie A3 and under (where applicable) have 20mm white margins, larger prints 40mm - 50mm white margins providing a virtual matte. On square prints these margins are naturally the same all the way around. On ‘A’ Series paper prints being effectively rectangular and having a ratio of 1:1.414 dictates that the border size only applies to the left and right edges of the print and the top and bottom will be deeper as the image area is pro’d down. Should you require custom margins please ask at the time of ordering.

Could I order an edge to edge print?

As standard I allow a white border on prints providing a virtual matte. This ensures none of the visible image is cropped off with any mounts, and enables easier handling when framing. If you want a full width print just ask.

When do I receive my order?

Since your prints are short run and bespoke, I aim for less than ten working days. Should you need your images as a priority, just email me here. I ship to the UK. I also ship to Europe and the rest of the World where delivery will naturally take a little longer.

What processes do you use?

I use two - a super high archival grade 12 ink print onto conservation quality Hahnemühle papers or a photographic process to expose the print (C-Type). Our 12 ink prints are dynamic in colour reproduction, and superb fine details and blends. Termed Giclée a word only applicable to archival quality prints. Your prints are produced using Lucia Ex pigment by Canon as they’re not only long-life and archival grade, but UV-safe pigmented inks giving vivid colours on all papers.

Any precautions with caring for my print?

As with professional photographs and paintings, these should be kept away from direct sunlight. Prints are originals not copies. If displayed correctly the inks I use have a conservative manufacturers stated life of 70 years. Museums and galleries use exactly the same print methods.

Do you offer framing services?

Due to the logistics and delicate handling required during the shipping of large frames with glass I tend not to, but that does not mean I don’t. I also employ the services of a printer in London that will also frame and deliver, making this an ideal and efficient service for interior designers. Prices for framed prints are available on request.

Could I order something bespoke?

Should you require artwork to suit a particular project I can vary the colours of existing pieces as a service. I can also create a bespoke piece of artwork for your project. Please enquire for prices, and provide details of your project here.

Do you offer Limited Editions?

Absolutely, I also love commissions. Generally only in Numbered Editions of 100, in one release only digitally numbered and supplied with a certificate.
